i just came back from the Singapore-Brunei Adventure Camp 2009.
when at first i have the unwillingness before gg for the camp.
now, i miss the BRUNEI people the most.
seriously, and also the superrb instructors .
i miss ROYAL PREENS!
klinsmann(Pei Hwa), Gheren(Pei Hwa), Albert(Pei Hwa), Rafidah(Pei Hwa), Irah(Pei Hwa), Yan Ying( Pei Hwa), Zati(Brunei), Zura(Brunei), Faiz(Brunei), Zan(Brunei), Nabil( Brunei), Brian(Junyuan) and me( Junyuan)
so here's what happened for past 5 days;
14th December 2009.
the 6 of us gathered in school. it was supposed to be 9 of us if im not wrong. but felice, boo and paulynn couldnt make it on the last minute basis. so left only me, von, vivian, cheryl, brian and alvis gg to the camp.mr hairol was incharged of us. so we waited for a bus in school but it didnt come. so we split ourselves into 2 groups and took taxi to Labrador Adventure Centre. when we reached there, the Brunei people are already waiting. when we placed our bags we sat beside them. and started our introduction. i remember Nadiah. the first bruneian to talk to me in the camp. after that, i could say all the bruneian with cameras started taking picture of us. it felt as if we are the celebrity's and that was really fun. just in a couple of minutes, they made us laugh. it was truly amazing how we got to talk to each other in just a short time. then the Pei Hua Secondary people came and dorm allocation was next. followed by ice breaker games in our own groups.. it was fun. seriously. i was in the same group as brian. hehh! at least a junyuan in my group. then we had our goal settings and coming up with our group names. my group name is ROYAL PREENS. royal comes form how the brunei people in their country and preens came from our so called " inspiration", Ris Low. hahaha! so then we had lunch together. after lunch we got ready and took bus to changi adventure centre. there we had telematch. 4 groups challenged each. it was super fun and dat brought my group together. haha. cool! in the end our group managed to get 2nd postition. then we discussed about campfire item. then we had BBQ oii! hahaha, we bbq with our groups. the first half, the brunei people cook. then i took over and bbq all our foods till finished. it was yummy and fun. then at night we head back to camp for debrief. then we wash up and go to bed. well, not exactly go to bed. we do talked a lot in the room (: and we get to use our handphones. isnt dat cool?! hahah. i called my family. den i called syafiqah. den i msged fadhli. hahah, cool.
15th December 2009 (:
assembled at 755am. then had our breakfast. after wash the plates and all, my group 2(my group) and group 1 had rope challenge. we did Abseiling, Zip Line and Challenge pole. it was truly fun and amazing. it was some bruneian first time doing that and they had loads of fun. haha, it was scary but fun. then after our lunch we did Nature walk. we walked from the camp to kent ridge park and all around there. it was fun and i had to partner up with Albert. he's friendly and really easy going. haha, it was fun talking to him. then we head back to camp and had dinnner and wash up. Albert( my nature walk partner) had to go off the camp cos he had to go for a holiday with his family. so said byebye to him then we went for midnight express! we went to citylink first. then we went to esplanade. then we went to singapore river and took a boat cruise there to Clark Quey. from clark Quey we went to jalan kayu for supper. then we went to mustafa centre and shop. it was 1230am by then. then after shopping for 1 hour +, we went to Jurong Hill. we ran up the hill so that we wont be sleepy ( as instructor aqasha said). haha, then we went to the Jurong fisheries to look at fishes early in the morning. in the end we reach back at campsite at around 4+ in the morning. hahaha! amazing lahh sehh! ohh in the midnight express i partnered with Rafidah! then we went to room. wash up den sleep!
16th December 2009
we got ready at 1130 am if im not wrong in our wet attire. then, we head off to kallang river for our dragon boating. before that we had lunch there. it was really fun talking to eddy. he talked about people giving him food when they dont wanna eat it. haha, he ate very fast. so funny. den we had briefing and got into our dragon boat group by group. i partnered with Zura where she sat next to me. it was truly fun but due to the lightning, we had to stop the dragon boating. then we washed up there, changed to dry clothes and head back to campsite. then we bathed properly and went down to canteen. in canteen we had like this bonding session with some of them while waiting for dinner. after dinner we discussed on the next day activity. which is downtown rendezvous. my group are supposed to go Kampong Glam first then Chinatown. after that we had campfire preparation in our own groups. after that we had debrief and lights off. but junyuan had a debrief where mr hairol bought 100 plus for us! hahaha, and dat made us awake in the morning. =.=! so me and the rest of junyuan girls went to the canteen with some brunei and pei hwa people who also not slept yet. it was 2 am i think by that time. then i remebered talking to ezey and HAZIM!. i guessed the song that they were listening. haha, so funny of me to guess the wrong tittle. but in the end i got it okay?ahaha. it was situasi from bunkface. =P den me and syafiqah went off to sleep.
17th December 2009
had breakfast at 8+am in the morning. then i was supposed to hold the group's money. they gave us $10 per person for transportation and lunch. so i was holding around $130. we were supposed to go and find ourselves the route to kampong glam. and from kampong glam to chinatown. we had lunch at beach road. it was the bruneians first time to take our buses and mrt. we reached the campsite back at 530pm. den we washed up and had last minute preparation for our campfire. the campfire was inside a hall. the concept was like prom night style with campfire in the middle of the hall. it was truly beautiful. the bruneians was wearing their traditional uniform for their performance. we were supposed to pair up with an oppposite sex so i had brian as my partner. haha, like i said, it was like prom night and so the guys will sit the opposite of the girls. hahah, it was also like candle light dinner. so cool! hahaha. den the first performance was from the brunei people. they perform their traditional dance which was like malay dance. it was supeerbly nice. haha, then after their performance, they quickly changed to our campfire shirt. (ohh, we got campfire shirts for campfire) after that we had dinner. then after dinner it was singapore's turn to dance. hahahahahahaha! wont explain. very funny. then group 1 followed by group 3 to perform. very funny. haha. then we played a game.
each group must come up with 4 people. 1 brunei girl, 1 brunei boy, 1 sg girl and 1 sg boy. they had to dance with blindfold if they hear the music. is the music stops, they had to freeze. as the elimination went on in the game. finally came to a soloist. NAZ, the winner.hahah, but sabotaged him to dance so many times eventhough he was the only one on stage. he dance so cute and it was really funny! in the end, instructor opened his blindfold and dats when he realised that he's the only one dancing on stage. hahaha! really funny. he was on stage and we're like his audience sitting on the floor in front of the stage. like so called in a concert where he's the artist den we are the fans. hahah, it was unforgetable! den it was group 4 followed by group 2 to perform our thing. then the brunei teachers took over. all of us sat on the floor again. they sang for all of us with cikgu shai as the guitarist. then the brunei people said they had a surprise for us. they sang 2 songs. the first song really touched our heart. with hazim on the guitar and the rest of them singing. then they sang the song tentang kita - peterpan. it made the singaporeans cry while they sang the song. seriously, it was so touching even i couldnt held back my tears. it was truly memorable. after the campfire we then had a debrief and then free time. i took the time to take picture with most of the brunei people. if i remembered, i took picture with ezey, zati, nadiah, zura, izzul, zawanah, Hazim, eddy then me syafiqah and vivian ate maggi mee from the brunei people at 2+am in the morning. after that we get to the room and talked with the brunei girls in our room. and sleep at nearly 4am in the morning.
17th December 2009
woke up and packed our stuffs. brought down to the canteen and had breakfast but most of us didnt eat at all.. then we board the bus to changi airport. that's when some of us cried. even our instructors cried in the bus. then aqasha played the song tentang kita and sat in front of me! =.=' he cried and zati cried and zura cried so in the end, i cried too! )'= as they got their tickets, we did a survey. after that, it was last moments photo taking time. cried and cried. its just so hard saying goodbye. and not only girls cried okay! boys also cried. then they had to go in and we had our last hugs. it was really sad okay. haiyoohh, then after that we went to our seperate ways. junyuan ate breakfast at mcdonalds. and we took bus 34 and go home. i walked with von home as we live in just opposite of each other.
the camp was really enjoyable.
it was the bestest camp with strangers that now became family.
eventhough we're far apart from each other.
gonna miss the bruneians a lot.
im gonna miss that guitarist a lot too. von knows who im talking about =')
after that met bestfriends after they had friday prayers. fee was at my house.
den had awesome lunch at food culture.
got to know fadhli couldnt eat fast food for a week.
tsk3. too bad ehh. hahah!
it was awesome like always with bestfriends.
then at night i watched new moon with family!! (:
loveee it oii. personally, i love it.
especially getting to see TAYLOR LAUTNER in action! :D
it didnt waste my time, zulfiqar and fadhli.
hahaha, and im back to my old lifestyle with family and bestfriends.
